Dr. Terry Donovan is professor and section head for biomaterials, Department of Operative Dentistry at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry at Chapel Hill. He was formerly professor and director of the Advanced Education in Prosthodontics Program at USC, where he was chair of the Department of Restorative Dentistry.
Jeffrey P. Okeson is professor and chairman in the Department of Oral Health Science and director of the Orofacial Pain Center (which he established in 1977) at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, Lexington.

Dr. Peter Jacobsen has a doctorate in comparative pharmacology and toxicology. He directed the Oral Medicine Clinic at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry for over 25 years. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral Medicine and past chairperson of the ADA Council on Dental Therapeutics. He writes the Dental Drug Booklet, a handout and reference on commonly prescribed dental medications.
