Planning for Financial Security at Retirement:

Let’s be frank: few people these days feel entirely secure in their retirement plans. Some of us are even wondering if we will ever be able to retire at all.

So is it time to throw up our hands and bury our heads in the sand? Absolutely not.

Now more than ever, it’s time to live hopefully by being prepared. We must learn the principles of financial planning and responsibility and apply them in our lives—the sooner the better.

Planning for Financial Security at Retirement is a BYU course (Business Management 205R) that’s offered FREE to BYU full-time employees and their spouses*. The university pays Scott Marsh, a financial planner and part-time faculty member in the BYU Marriott School of Management, to present this class twice a year.

In this six-session class, Scott teaches what you and your spouse need to know to be able to retire, if not in wealth, at least in peace, security and reasonable comfort. He talks about investing, mortgages, debt, financial strategies that work, BYU’s planning options, estate planning, America’s financial future, and other important topics.
