Lodging and Meals

CAMPUS LODGING

Participants who have reserved campus housing will be accommodated in Heritage Halls. Check-in is after 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 30, at the Heritage Halls Central Building (HRCN). Rooms are double occupancy (you will be paired up with another Organ Workshop attendee) and include lodging the nights of Monday, July 30, through Friday, August 3. Checkout is before 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 4. Bed and bath linen are provided; three pairs of roommates share central bath facilities. Some suggested items to bring include alarm clock, bar soap (if you prefer large bars), shampoo, slippers, bathrobe, and drinking cup. Laundry facilities and a TV lounge are also available.

Couples housing is not available at Heritage Halls but can be obtained through the Courtyard by Marriott ($89 plus tax per night) or the Cottontree Inn ($76 plus tax per night).

INFANTS AND CHILDREN

The workshop is open to women and men age 18 and older. Many of the classes are “hands-on” and require full concentration. Infants, including nursing babies, and young children will not be admitted to workshop sessions. Also, residence halls are not equipped to accommodate young children.

MEALS

Workshop participants may eat at any cafeteria or food outlet on campus and pay by check, cash, or major credit card. The following are the most conveniently located to workshop classes:

  • Orville and Wilbur’s (located inside the Games Center, 1171 Wilkinson Student Center)
  • Skyroom Restaurant (Wilkinson Student Center, sixth floor)

  • Harris Fine Arts Center

  • Vending machines (located in the tunnel of the HFAC; includes microwave)

  • Museum of Art

  • Museum Café

  • Creamery on Ninth

  • Creamery on Ninth (located east of the Harris Fine Arts Center and very close to Heritage Halls)
