Registration begins Friday, January 27th for all other Scouts.

Registration is $20 per Scout and will be available online (the quickest method) or in person beginning Tuesday, January 24th at 9:00 a.m. for Scouts in the Utah National Parks Council and Friday, January 27th at 8:00 a.m. for all other Scouts. Registration will continue until Friday, February 24th at 5:00 p.m. (as long as space is available). A “Register Now” button will appear on this page on January 24th at 9:00 a.m. mountain time. Please note that the Scout’s parent or legal guardian must be the one to complete the registration (in order to create a personal login and select security questions for the account).
A limited number of on-site registration will be available, but not all classes will be open on the day of Powwow.

Note: There will be some walk on space available on the first day of PowWow. HOWEVER, space will be very limited and we cannot guarantee every class will have open spaces.

Registration Informations

Scheduling is on a first-come, first-served basis. We will honor scheduling requests to the best of our ability.

Full tuition payment is due upon registration. There are three convenient ways to register.

  1. Online:

    2012 BYU Spring PowWow

Online Registration Closed: 24 February 2012

  2. By phone: Call (801) 422-8925. Phone registration will be open between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays.
  3. In Person: Harman Continuing Education Building lobby at BYU between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays.

To register over the Internet, click on the registration button that will appear below on January 24th. After clicking the “Register Now” button you can login using a Scout‘s Net ID and password, or you may create a Net ID. After logging in you will be guided through the registration process. Please note that when you register for a Scout you should enter his information (but please use a parent‘s e-mail address, as we often communicate about the program by e-mail).

During the registration process, a Scout may register for up to three merit badges. Each merit badge class will have a section letter assigned as well as a time (e.g., Art, Section B, 9:00–10:05 a.m.). All Scouts who register for the same section and time will be in the same class. If one section is full, another section may be selected. Where different sections of the same merit badge are in different classrooms, this will be indicated. A Scout may also return to the registration page by February 24th at 5:00 p.m. to change his selection to a different section, or merit badge, as long as there is still space available.

A confirmation page showing class locations and times will be sent to those who register. Please have your Scout bring this schedule with him each day of the PowWow.

The PowWow has a limited enrollment and the registration fee is $20 per Scout even if he registers for only one class. No registrations, refund requests, or class changes can be accepted after 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24th, 2012.

Admission and Standards

Participants of any race, color, creed, and ethnic or national origin are accepted for admission to this program provided they maintain the university standards while on campus. These include modesty in dress and conduct and abstinence from alcohol, tobacco, coffee, tea, and harmful drugs.
