Come to BYU and dive into the world of theatre! Theatre Workshop will be one of the greatest opportunities you will ever have to immerse yourself in the theatre experience in the great atmosphere only BYU can offer. You will work hard, learn a lot, and make new friends with similar dreams, goals, and standards.
Theatre Camp is for beginning, intermediate, and seasoned high school actors who love to learn and want to build their theatre skills through classroom and hands-on instruction in master classes, specialty workshops, and rehearsals.
Gain new skills and improve on your current ones and you learn from our talented instructors and acting professionals. Daily classes during the first week include acting, music and choreography (all tied into rehearsals for our final show). Workshops this year may include auditioning, stage makeup, the BYU Theatre program, improv, dialects, costumes, stage combat, and more.
Join us for an intense two weeks as you attend classes and rehearse and perform the revised edition of the play You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown, based on the Peanuts comic strip by Charles M. Schulz. Theatre Workshop begins on Monday morning, and after orientation and lunch, you’ll jump right into auditions to place you in rehearsal groups—and then the fun really starts!
Theatre Workshop has limited enrollment, so be sure to register soon.
Don’t miss out! Come to Theatre Workshop!
