BEST OF ESPECIALLY FOR YOUTH is a BYU Continuing Education program designed to help youth strengthen their testimonies, read and study the scriptures, increase their self–respect, gain a desire to serve, seek the saving ordinances of the gospel, and deal with today’s challenges. All youth, LDS church members and nonmembers, ages 12 to 18, are invited to attend. LDS standards must be observed while attending.

Registration Information

  • Preregistration ends Friday, May 4, 2012, at 5:00 p.m.
  • Ward or stake leaders are encouraged to coordinate group registrations for their youth. However, individual registrations can also be made.
  • Tickets will be mailed within one week of the order date through May 4, 2012.
  • After May 4, tickets must be purchased at the door on a space-available basis.

  2. Telephone: Call 801–422–8925 or 877–221–6716 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (mountain time) and ask the operator for Salt Lake Valley Best of EFY. Payment must be made at the time of the call by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.

  3. Mail–in: If you must pay by check, please mail in your registration. Send a check, payable to BYU—CE, along with your name, address, daytime phone number, and number of tickets requested to: Salt Lake Valley Best of EFY, P.O. Box 21505, 299 Harman Continuing Education Building, Provo, UT 84602-1505.

9:00–9:10 a.m. Welcome and Introduction
9:10–10:00 a.m. David Christensen, Faculty, BYU Continuing Education, West Jordan, Utah Charity: Learning to LoveYouth must learn the doctrine of charity and then practice it on a daily basis.
10:10–11:00 a.m. Anthony Sweat, Seminary Instructor, Salt Lake City, Utah Real Repentance and Real ForgivenessFrom prophetic teachings we will learn what is required to truly repent and receive the Lord’s forgiveness.
11:10 a.m.–noon Brad Wilcox, Faculty, Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah The Gospel: Good News, Good News, Read All About ItFaith in Christ is a headline we share with many other churches, but we have a whole paper full of additional good news to share with the world.

Refunds

Refund requests must be made in writing with tickets attached and received by Friday, May 4, 2012. A $10 processing fee applies to every group refund request. Refund requests received after May 4, 2012, will not be honored.
