EFY Building Counselor

EFY Building Counselors will be paid $475 for a weeklong contract.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Have a proficient knowledge of the EFY Program, specifically counselor duties and responsibilities
• Organize and execute various aspects and activities of the EFY program, i.e. games night, musical program, variety show, etc
• Guide and assist counselors in all aspects of their duties
• Help counselors develop and improve teaching techniques
• Guide counselors in appropriate associations with EFY program participants
• Act as a liaison between coordinators and counselors
• Support counselors in maintaining their personal well-being

Requirements:

• Be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in good standing
• Be willing to accept as a condition of employment compliance with the Church Educational System Honor Code and the standards of conduct that are consistent with qualifying for temple privileges
• Be a maximum of 28 years old by September 1, 2012
• Be a minimum of 21 years old on May 31, 2012
• Have previous EFY counselor experience
• Have prior leadership experience
• Be a hard worker
• Be capable of working as a team member and individually with minimal supervision
• Be dependable, teachable, friendly, and accountable
• Relate well with youth
• Be able to teach youth in a group setting
• Work well under pressure
• Must abide by the Especially for Youth counselor dress and appearance standards
• If hired, must be able to legally work in the United States of America

Preferred:

• Previous EFY Counselor Experience

Strongly Preferred:

• Returned Missionary
